This book was horrible. The ending placed the main character back where she was at the start of the story, the love interest talked to the main character like 5 times the whole book, and the lengths to which they went for each other was not believable at all. the side characters were annoying, but not nearly as bad as the protagonist, celine. The plot was confusing and convoluted and yet still non existent. I expected a lot better because of the hype it was getting in different places on the internet. Another gripe I had was the setting and the way it did not play a role besides ambiance at all. it could have been so good, but instead I felt like I was reading a whole lot of nothing for the 350 miserable pages. Never. Again. I was going to buy the Damned too. I dislike it and want nothing to do with it. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
