I love everything about New Orleans, so when I read the synopsis for this book, I knew I needed to read it.
I liked the way the book starts off with intrigue about where the girls are from and where they're going. A convent? Hmmmm, what did they do to be sent there?
Once they land in New Orleans, you get the sense that something doesn't quite feel right and there will be some hard times coming for each of them. It just so happen to be carnival season, so there are alot of people about...especially that intriguing dark stranger.
Within just the few pages available to read, a girl is murdered on the very same pier they girls arrived at.
I think this story has alot of potential to be a great mysterious YA book that will captivate a broad audience!
