I had read this author's previous series and remembered how I was upset it was only a duology. I suspect I am going to feel this way again. I completely loved this book. New Orleans, the undead, romance, and French sprinkled in. From the first moment Celine and Bastien met, their chemistry was off the charts. I swear there was even a nod to An Interview of a Vampire by Anne Rice in the beginning with the buddy relationship of Bastien and Arjun. Celine is so strong and fearless. Great mix of action, romance, and mystery. There is a reveal at the end that I swear I did not pick up on the clues for. I cannot wait for the sequel. My only negative is I am not totally sold on this cover.
