I was first introduced to Ahdieh's books with The Wrath and the Dawn a few years ago and I fell in love. Her book covers are gorgeous and so is her writing. Her last books took the reader through worlds with caliphs and samurai, and now we get vampires! I usually don't have much luck with third person novels but this one got me and pulled me in. We get Ahdieh's beautiful writing again, only this time with some intriguing vampire action, convents, and mystery! Ahdieh almost immediately gives readers a hint of the vampiric mystery at hand, as well as the mystery surrounding the main character of Celine and I'm definitely intrigued! I'm really interested to see how Ahdieh further weaves Celine's convent journey with the vampire mystery at hand!!
