i absolutely loved this book. i devoured it in just one day. the pacing is somewhat slow but i was still having a great time during the whole read. renee’s writing style is just absolutely amazing. i loved the gothic vibes so much and i absolutely adore celine. i also am in fact in love with sebastien. speaking of celine and sebastien, i think the romance between them was done well. i’m a sucker for romance so of course i loved them together. to me, it didn’t seem forced or rushed which was nice. i know some people had issues with the fact that the book was marketed as a vampire story when in reality the vampires don’t play that big of a role in the story, but that didn’t bother me. i thought the vampires were very well done, not too cheesy, i think it had just the right amount. AND THAT ENDING ??? overall, this book is fantastic and i can not wait to read the next one!
