I finished this last year and I'm just now getting around to rating but I thought it was good!! I would have loved to see more vampires because you dont really see it until you get to the end but i understand having to build up the plot. I absolutely love the new Orleans setting, since I'm a huge the vampire diaries and the original fan. I especially loved the 1800s setting although I wouldnt have mind it being modern day since the main character talks more modern anyway. I couldnt wait to get my hands on this book! In all I did love the story and will be continueing I can't wait to see what she does with the other books. I hope she explores more of the vampire element going forward. I hope we see more vampire books in the future.
