Ahdieh has been a favorite author of mine since her debut. I was excited to see she wrote a vampire tale. And this one promises to be a haunting story set against a luscious backdrop. I like the heroine. She's got a realistic outlook, which I love. I find heroines who have gone from frivolous to mature to be compelling characters, and it seems as if she is one of these.
