The excerpt provided just enough mystery to keep me wanting more. I'm dying to know more about the Court and the murders that are taking place in the city. I also hope we learn more about Celine's backstory. I need to know what happened in her life that would have her fleeing to the states. We do get a little teaser about it, but not enough to know the whole story. I would also like to know more about the other girls that accompany Celine and Pippa to the convent. Hopefully we get to know more about them and their stories as well. Maybe in future books perhaps? I can't wait to find out who the mystery person is at the end of the excerpt. Is it the same gentleman Celine locked eyes with in the courtyard? I can't wait for this book to be published so I can find out!
