Before reading this excerpt, I've read a Young Adult book with informal writing style, so when I jumped into this, I kind of had a struggle shifting to understand every word this book has. It wasn't until I was able to read the "murder" scene. It was fascinating how it was told, the warm sticky red blood that was supposed to be a kiss from a gentleman suggests that there's more to the story.

I found out that the genre is Paranormal with a subtle introduction to Vampires. It was never mentioned anything in the book about vampires, fangs, thirst, sunburn or any of those 'myths' about it.

It was difficult to read the French phrases as I do not know the translation by heart but nonetheless, there were context clues that makes it more interesting.

Will I buy the book? Maybe. I would like to see how this creature hunt his next victim and know his weaknesses.
