This was a book that I was excited to have on my bookshelf, but once I obtained a copy it remained on my shelf for months after.
I finally found the motivation to pick this one up and give it a read; it's several hundred pages, but has fairly quick chapters that will help you feel like you're not reading it forever.
I've not read a book involving vampires since my middle school years, so I was excited to dive back into that world and see if it still gave me the feels; I found myself disappointed by the fact that to be a vampiric novel, it did not involve much vamp material!
My other pet peeve is the fact that the book's summary and praises from other sources mentions all this talk about romance, but I found that this story did not have much romantic material to justify those claims.
Overall, I still think it's worth reading but just didn't have all the ingredients for a five star read.
