Drew me in, but was a little disappointing.
The beginning of the book really drew me in and had me wondering what was next. The author, one whom I have not heard of until now, writes well and makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters. I love when a book can make me forget about everything around me. However, as the book went on my interest started to dwindle a bit and it was harder for me to finish than I would have hoped. It started to seem a bit familiar (similar to other vampire novels) and, at least for me, was a little predictable. This author has a way with words when it comes to imagery, but the story was a little lacking for me. It was interesting enough that I am willing to try another of her books before deciding whether I'm a fan or not though.
