I wanted to read this because it's been a long time since I read a vampire story and this book got some great early buzz. I was never into Twilight but I liked Vamire Diaries well enough. Though I got into it at the the tail end of the vampire craze. I was lucky enough to receive an arc in exchange for an honest review from the publisher. I ended up not finishing it out of boredom. It just couldn't quite keep my interest with the lackluster romance and boring characters. The New Orleans settings was giving me shades of The Originals which is a show I fell off of well before it was over. The Beautiful has a great setting and premise but all the other elements fall flat. So sadly I just ended up underwhelmed.
