Blah boring.
I mean do we really need another book based in New Orleans about a young girl who found a body.
Nope, sure don’t.
The writing style wasn’t for me either. It was hard because I wasn’t sure if she was trying to use current lingo plus long from the 1870’s. There was also just a lot going on. I didn’t think that it was great or grand or anything.
It fell flat for me in many places. I guess I was just tired of the same old, same old.
The book was boring and reparative. The story has been done before and I was just hoping that maybe this time there would have been some more umph to it.
There is a second book coming out and I wouldn’t mind giving it a try. I just hope it would be better than the first.
