It took me like 150 pages or maybe even more to get me interested. It was slow in the beginning but I really wanted to know why all the mystery surrounding the Court of Lions. To be honest I was thinking for the entirety of the book that they were all different kinds of creatures. The story has some very interesting bits but it took too long to get me invested. Also, although I usually enjoy a love triangle if it’s well written, this one was not good for me. And I cannot say the biggest problem I had with this book because it’s a huge spoiler, but that is a big reason why I rate it this way but let's just say that I wanted more vampires in my vampire read if you know what I mean. No conclusion so if you are thinking of picking this one up, be aware that the story is not finished.
