At first glance, I wouldn't look twice at the cover. I think there's an opportunity here to go in a more unique, dark and beautiful direction. However, while the cover is not love, the words inside are. Ahdieh writes beautifully and so eloquently that not only am I looking forward to this Gothic vampire YA set in Louisiana for the story alone, but I just want to read her words...she is a brilliant writer and this is sure to be a good one!
