I was hesitant to enter this raffle because, while I am a Renée Ahdieh fan, the premise was something not exactly in my comfort zone once the word “vampire” was thrown around. However, after reading that excerpt, I stand corrected.
Ahdieh has been one of my favorite, consistent authors and she’s definitely continuing that streak of hits based on what I just read. The book starts with such atmosphere and beauty, it makes magic feel real and the dangers lurking around the corner seem plausible. Beautiful, grounded, and sucked me in right away.
