Two young girls arriving in New Orleans in 1872. Celine and Pippa arrive and are staying at a convent in the hopes that they will find husbands. Celine has sewing skills and is asked to come take the measurements of a woman in the evening. We also know there seems to be a serial killer who has recently killed a young girl on the docks. The Mother Superior allows Pippa and Celine permission to leave the convent at night to take the measurements.
