It should go without saying that vampires go with New Orleans like jam goes with toast. It's highly likely that I will read almost anything supernatural if it takes place in New Orleans, and practically guaranteed if it's about vampires. This sounds like an interesting murder mystery type plot that I would be all over in a heartbeat. Not to mention, I'm a absolute sucker for carnival themes, and 'dangerous love' tropes. As for the cover art, it's okay but throws me off a bit since it (for some reason) looks like a shower to me at first glance rather than a spilled chalice. The symbolism is nice, but I can't unsee the blood shower. Maybe that's intentional? Difficult to say without reading.
