I was drawn into the story from the first page to the point that I managed to forget I was reading only an excerpt. So you can imagine my disappointment when I had reached the last page. The Beautiful is a book that has been on my radar since it was announced, and I'm glad I was able to read this sneak preview because I'm now even more excited for its release. The writing and the story was very atmospheric. I'm so glad vampires are making a comeback, as I love a good dark, gothic novel.
