There are some authors where it doesn't matter what they write; I'm going to buy their books. Renee Ahdieh is one of those authors for me. The worlds she creates are beyond rich and layered, and I can't help but be entranced by her characters. Adding in the fact that this is about vampires and set in 19th century New Orleans, it means that I've been waiting for this book since the moment I saw it announced.
