I thoroughly enjoyed the first look of Renee Adieh's The Beautiful. I've read two other books by this author, The Wrath and the Dawn and its sequel, and they each were descriptive, decadent, and an all-out adventure. This book looks no different! Even the first line draws you in like some haunting melody, "New Orleans is a city ruled by the dead." I can't wait to read this new addition to Adieh's work.
