I read Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh last May and was so entranced by the storytelling and the characters, and I just wanted to live inside the words of Renée Ahdieh. I was so excited when I heard about The Beautiful because I think vampires are such a cool and interesting thing to explore in both novels, TV, and movies because there is so much you can do with them. At first, I was a bit weary because vampires can be a bit cheesy, but when I heard Renée talking about how they would be brutal and monstrous, I couldn't contain my excitement. The writing and the beginning of this story was truly, no pun intended, beautiful, and I can't wait to continue.
