I don't know that I would really call this a retelling of beauty and the beast I mean okay so he's beastly and scared but she isn't really held prisoner by him heck he tries to get rid of her over and over.
Astrid kid of annoys me and honestly I don't really fall in love with either of the character it's not a horrible story but it's very mediocre not something I'd probably read a second time.
I do like the cover and it does really draw you in. the first look was great but after that it just kind of falls flat. I am not sure if I would read another one of this authors books but considering that I like historical romance I would probably give her another chance.
