I loved this book. I love a scarred hero and Thane was that and so much more. I also really loved Astrid. She was not the usual lady of the ton. She wasn't happy living the life of the typical lady. She didn't want to spend her days preparing herself for marriage, just to be pushed aside. She wanted so much more for herself and women in general. She makes a deal with a beast to save her sister. And you know how the story goes. They fell madly in love. The only issue I had with this book was Thane was so hot and cold.. all the time. I know that is just how his character was but at some point he should have made a choice to be either hot or cold towards Astrid and stuck with it. Everything else was wonderful.
