This was a wonderful and funny adaptation of the Beauty and The Beast trope. The chemistry between the main characters was fantastic making the interactions between them interesting and lively. There was enough lovable elements of the beloved fairy tale present but of course with its own added twist to make the story stand on its own. The marriage of convenience plot, the grumpy and scarred but quite honorable hero and the spunky spinster who wants to change the hand that has been dealt to her by society. These adds up to a wonderful and entertaining romance that’s truly a page turner. Both Thane and Astrid and other secondary characters will definitely wind their way into readers hearts and make this book memorable.
