I’m a huge sucker for beauty and the beast retellings but this also was a retelling of my favorite plays, The Taming of the Shrew. I thought the romance between the two was so passionate and heartwarming. The plot was very well thought out in my own opinion. Character development is key for me to like a book and this one had plenty of that. The love scenes weren’t bad as I’ve read some that made me cringe. In fact, it was romantic. The author writes beautifully and I like how it’s in 3rd person but also focuses on the POV’s of our two main characters without breaking the 3rd person view. It’s hard for me to like a book that’s told in 3rd person but I enjoyed this one very much. For my fifth romance novel I’ve ever read, this one has to take the cake. Very well done!
