I have never read a book by Amalie Howard before, but this was so much fun! I added this book to my TBR after reading the excerpt and I'm so glad I had. The plot of the story is basically Tessa Dare's The Duchess Deal meets The Taming of the Shrew. I found Astrid to be a remarkable heroine whose point of view I enjoyed reading. I also thought the relationship between her and her sister was well written and very sweet. However, the best part of the book were all the interactions between Astrid and Thane! From their very first meeting, I was totally hooked. The build-up of tension and romance was not disappointing in the slightest. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future!
