From the blurb provided, I absolutely love this story so far. A complete page turner. It left me wanting more. The earl character was intriguing and the dynamic between him and Astrid gave off a cloak of mystery, leaving me with questions of their past. The dialogue was incredibly fun and immersive; I felt I was inside this family's small castle while they discussed heated affairs. I also really enjoy the discussion of the power between male & female in past times. An examination of a young, strong headed, independent woman in times when that was shunned upon is always something I cheer for. To see her lift herself from under the thumb of "the man" and his standards.
