I love historical romances and especially this time period of England...and the Beauty and the Beast/Taming of the Shrew concept... and was excited to read this book after reading the introduction. I was not prepared for the continual sexual innuendoes throughout the entire book. It may be enjoyable for a lot of people but was not my taste.
The characters were very likeable and I kept hoping for more substance and believability. I enjoyed the strong and intelligent heroine and the integrity of both her and the duke" aka beast". I just wish they had been given more of a chance to truly be developed as the interesting characters they could have been and not continuously reduced to sexual drivel.
