Just from reading the sneak peak of this book, I’m a little confused on how I feel. I love some retellings of Beauty and the Beast but some are slightly boring to me. This ARC seemed very interesting to me and Astrid and Beaumont seem to be quite the characters. I’m interested in seeing how this story plays out. Astrid’s uncle irritates me, only because I get irritated by sexist comments in general, so I really feel for both Astrid and Isobel.
My opinion, as of right now, is that this book seems like it would be great for anyone interested in romance and Beauty and the Beast retellings. I love the red cover of the book, l but they characters on the front appear slightly cheesy. Regardless, I’m very excited to read the finished copy!
