First let me say this book wasn't exactly what I was expecting and though the back and forth in the relationship every other page got a bit tedious I will say it all ended on a high note and the love that was portrayed through the book was amazing. Astrid was without a doubt the epitome of a woman this day and age placed in the day and age of when it was unconventional. She was everything that you want in a spit fire main and gave the other main a run for his money. She matched him in every possible way. I felt the connection instantly between them and though it took a bit of coaxing to get to the actual relationship......(basically the entire book) I was thankful for the in between as well. It gave the reader the ability to see that Astrid needed no man in any way, shape, or form and that she was no damsel even in the face of ruination. All in all the book was incredible and will probably be one that I will pick up again if I'm wanting to read an adult romance again.
