The Beast of Beastwick by Amalie Howard does not disappoint. It is a wonderful romance retelling of The Beauty and the Beast. Within you find strong female characters and a lovely historical setting. I found myself unable to stop reading this book because I needed to find out what would happen to the main character, Astrid. I also enjoyed how complex the beast, Thane was. We get to see a great character reveal in Thane. Now the two of them together was so great. They could not stay apart from each other if they tried it was so wonderful to watch this story unfold. I loved the added in villains in the story. The fact that Astrid and Thane are both battling "villains" of a sort from their past makes the drama of the story all that much better.
