Wow, the author does an amazing job of immediately distinguishing the tone some of the characters will have. Quickly I learned that the main character is strong, prideful, and protective, which made me love her. While the introduction of the few other characters, thus far, agitated me quite a bit. Usually the build up of love or hate for the characters comes a few chapters in, but not with this book. I knew who I loved and hated immediately, yet I am left wondering if in the end my thoughts will remain the same. This one has hooked me for sure.
