I'm not sure if this would be the book for me. I'm usually into thrillers so please take this impression lightly. The beast for me is too reminiscent of a story already told just with different descriptives. I would have to read more to see if I am correct in this assumption but this is the feeling I get just from the first chapter. The only difference is Belle was not married off to someone to escape poverty.
