I was immediately drawn in to Astrid's world, her plight, her desire to protect her much younger sister from the same fate she herself had escaped. The Earl is slimy and gross and I hope Astrid's plan she desperately has hatched at the end of the excerpt leads to a real good HEA for all (I know it will). I love the cover too!
