The Beast of Beswick has a great start. I really like the main character, Lady Astrid, who is a strong lady in a time when most women were considered to be helpless property. I like how she's so concerned about the welfare of her sister. It reminds me a little of Katniss in The Hunger Games. This book has a promising start.
