As a mother who was quite often a babysitter back in the day, this book was positively addictive! (One time when I was babysitting, my bff's brother thought it would be funny to prank call me multiple times, heavy breathing, then hanging up. When he whispered breathily "I know you're alone..." I called 911. Needless to say, he admitted who he was when the officer answered the phone & they had a little chat w/ him then his mom & of course he was grounded.)

Back to the book...
Suspenseful, engaging, & although it's a bit slow at times, it's also very intense at others. 'The Babysitter' reads like a creepy movie & is a pretty twisty, tense, page-turner w/ well-developed characters. Nancy Bush has done it again!
