I have read a lot of Nancy Bush books and loved them. This book was a struggle for me to get through. Very slow paced. Too much back story and focus on all these characters from high school. I felt there were chapters in the book that were not needed. The first chapter gets you excited about what’s to come, but it takes along time to get to anything exciting. If your looking for an edge of your seat thriller, this is not the book for you. For all the hype, this was disappointing. I can normally read a good 450 page book in 2 days. This book Took me over a week to read. The writing was fine, just very boring. I will continue to read Nancy Bush books in the hope that they will be more exciting.
