The babysitter reminded me of my all time favorite movie, when a stranger calls. That movie was ultra scary and so was this book. I never babysat in another person house because of movies and books like this, they made me rethink it.

The babysitter opens up with a good start, the first page hooked me instantly. The synopsis explains why. Poor Emma took over for her sister that night, so she could go party but Emma paid the price for Jamie because she was brutally attacked that night. It was like reading a horror movie.

When both Emma and Jamie come back to town years later another girl was attacked, and Jamie remembered the night her mom got the call about Emma. Finding the truth of the attacker. What Jamie found out had me in shock. What a great book.

Thank you to Kensington books and bookishfirst for my copy.
