From the prologue to the end of Chapter 4, I was riveted. Sisters Emma and Jamie babysit for the Ryersons and on the night they switch Emma is attacked with a knife but lives although now she has a learning capacity of a 12 year old. Jamie left the town they grew up in but once their mom dies she goes back home where she finds out more things about the attacker of her sister. It is a good story, but I feel that the writing is more like a young adult novel.
