I felt immediately connected to Jamie, the guilt she felt and her mother put on her for something she had no real accountability for. Reminded me of being young again and how every party felt like you couldn’t miss it. I also liked how the mystery of who might have attacked Emma is brought into the story, just a hint but enough to keep the reader interested. I’m also reminded of one of my absolute favorite horror movies (the original) When a Stranger Calls. Obviously different details, but some similar which makes me so excited to see where the author takes this story. Much to like, and definitely a book I will need to finish! Great cover, as it reminds me of the cover of an 80’s horror novel!
