I'm all for a babysitter slasher novel, especially if its set in the 80's. I have enjoyed the resurgence of novels exploring the campy wonder of the era. This book has an interesting premise but I'm not sure about the execution. The dialogue doesn't feel 80's inspired but also isn't even current. Also from the preview it seems very dramatic. The book may settle in and be excellent but so far I'm not sure.
The cover is ok. It for sure says thriller. Would have been nice if the could have had an 80s color scheme that would have been more eye catching.
