This book captures a unique fear you only have if you've done a lot of babysitting, probably a fear from watching When a Stranger Calls when you are too young. I am immediately aligned with main character Jamie Whelan and the author has perfectly captured what it's like to babysit as a teenager. Twenty years between two very similar crimes - a knife wielded by an intruder - and I am immediately hooked.
