I had never read anything by this author but was intrigued by the synopsis of this title, and the chance to read a first impression of The Babysitter by Nancy Bush. As far as previews go, we did get to see a nice bit of this novel, but I was left feeling a little unsure about how into this title I was.

While we get to know Jaime, the main character, in the past and present and are introduced to her sister, Emma, and daughter Haley I was torn between if we got too much information at the beginning or not enough. As times I felt it had great detail, but in some instances I felt like as the reader there was a lot of unnecessary detail as well - made it seem a bit off track to me!

I would still want to finish this book, mainly to see if it could change my mind into liking it more - it has great potential, right now I’m giving it a 3.5
