I'm presuming that eventually the prologue and the beginning of the story itself will weave together more completely at some point. I hope that the story will engage the readers as it goes along. The bickering and gossiping that starts the story isn't the most compelling way to begin, even if it ultimately ties into the house and the relationships forged there.
