There were a few things that put me off from this book. The first of which was that the introductory section doesn't appear to have anything to do with the second section unless you go back and pick through the names and see that the mother was the initial guy's "love." But the second thing was that both of the men in the second section were described as getting fat or developing guts in such a way that it felt very shaming. No thanks.
