This book starts off with a prologue that jumps timelines, back into the past, immediately leaving you wondering how Zakaria's death has impacted the Nsar family. I love a good family drama with decades of secrets, and this is shaping up to be a good one. Though the family is geographically scattered, the story will clearly center on the family's ties to Beirut. I think this will be a fascinating backdrop to the story and shed light on the turmoils of Beirut from the perspectives of families that have been impacted by them for generations.
