A Family Drama with a Fresh Perspective
One of my favorite things about the recent books Bookish First has provided is that there seems to be a focus on uplifting voices that are often looked over in the book community. It was really cool to see a family drama from a POV that is not often promoted within the genre, at least in my day-to-day life.
The writing was well done. Though there is a large cast of characters to acclimate to, the author introduces everything well and gives the reader enough without being overwhelming.
