Slow, not what I thought but very enjoyable
This books twist were not what I expected.
There are tales of ghost in the old manor that I think happen with a lot of houses. But then you find out the truth and it makes sense. How an unwell woman and a child could see things.
I thought it was enjoyable but very slow going at first. But as the relationship between Hettie and Lucy developed more I found I could not put it down. It was a sweet.
On one hand there the story of Lucy and Hettie was enjoyable and I felt attached. As some who with severe anxiety my heart ached for Lucy. But a lot of the other characters were so easy to hate.
