I was caught up right from the start, the tone was intriguing and a little dark, much like I find natural history museums themselves. The narrator draws you in and you get a sense of her and her dark past that makes you want to know more about her. I think all of the elements (creepy museum pieces, orphan girl, manor house) will mesh together and make a great, atmospheric read. I especially like books that have a dark atmosphere, where you are not 100% sure if the happenings are natural or supernatural. The imagery was easy to picture in my head and look forward to getting to know Lockwood Manor better.
